The term Stealing (which has negative connotations(whereas claiming is "positive”)), emphasises the intention to challenge repressive attitudes  
To divert , disrupt, trick the systems that produce them.
In the act of appropriating (drawing) and arranging (connecting) objects (symbols/metaphors),
we point to construct another system that accounts for human error*, (which are usually repressed), and therefore accounts for empathic exchange (per-ception, e-motion) 
Making DIY art is a political gesture - it is a practice to think independently - scanning the landscape to access unexplored possibilities
